One $1,500 award is available and will be awarded to a graduating female high school student or a female Community College student with a GPA of 2.5 or higher to be used to pay educational expenses for higher education in either a vocational, business or accounting program.

Founder Information
Beverly A. Rozendaal joined Soroptimist International, Chico in January 1990 and served the Club as a coordinator of many Club Committees and as an officer in many positions, including President during the 2001-2002 Club year. Beverly was a warm and caring person with a zest for life. She had a passion for Soroptimist and for giving to others. Beverly assisted her husband with their CPA office, hence the choice of this award with an emphasis on business and accounting.
Instructions
Step 1: Determine eligibility
- Is a graduating female high school student or a female Community College student
- Has a GPA of 2.5 or higher
- Is going to pursue a higher education in either a vocational, business or accounting program
Step 2: Complete Application Form including two letters of recommendation and a typed essay of up to 500 words.
- Letters of recommendation should be from teachers, mentors, and others who have encouraged the student to reach her goals
- The essay should describe the student’s goals and how they would be fulfilled by pursuing a higher education
Step 3: Completed application with two letters of recommendation are to be mailed or emailed
