Butte College Scholarships

Desiree Gonzalez, Butte College Foundation Development Officer presented the scholarships to the awardees.

 

 

These scholarships acknowledge and support those students who are committed to achieving their academic goals and who demonstrate potential to be successful in their future career paths.
This is a club only award with selection process completed by Butte College.

CSU Chico Scholarships

Lise Smith-Peters, Development Director College of
Behavioral & Social Sciences presented the scholarships for CSU Chico Soroptimist Graduate Scholarship – Established by Dr. Valene Smith and SI Chico, this
scholarship is awarded to business or interdisciplinary
graduate students at CSU Chico, who embodies the Soroptimist spirit of service.

This is a club only award with selection process completed by CSU Chico.

This shcolarship went to:

Anthony Ruiz

The other scholarship was for CSU Chico Soroptimist International Goodwill & Understanding
(IGU) Scholarship – Established by Dr. Valene Smith and SI Chico, this scholarship is for
non-resident international students who have completed at least 24 units at CSUC. Recipients must indicate they plan to remain in the United States to complete a Masters degree. Preference is for students who have completed an undergraduate degree in their own country. This is a club only award with selection process completed by CSU Chico.

Patrick Borel, LCSW Director of Field Education School of Social Work presented the CSU Chico Soroptimist Aging & Gerontology Education
(AGE) Award – Established by Carol Burr and SI Chico, this scholarship is
awarded to Concentration Year Students accepted into the School of Social Work, CSUC. Chico Hartford Partnership Program in Aging Education (HIPPAE), Excellence in Serving Older Adults. HIPPAE is an innovative program for students interested in gaining knowledge, skills and
experience working with older adults.
